A few favorites

Hola!  Hope you are having a super fun weekend=0)  I was going around my house cleaning and I kept seeing things that cracked me up, or that I just loved.  I thought I'd show you.....

Yes, this is in my laundry room and someone was pretty angry that I took his favorite Nemo underpants.  When folding clothes....who doesn't need to crack up?

T-rex right after dinner, LOL!

After I got back from my first trip to Europe, I just had to paint this acrylic painting.  It turned out to be a REALLY long, 8 piece project.  I'm pretty happy how all the colors turned out.

I found this sign and grabbed it so fast!  I dropped it twice on my way to pay for it, LOL!

I painted our side fence blue!  I love washing the dishes now.....REALLY, LOL!

X and I painted some ceramics, during his Spring break.  You saw his T-rex and here is my moon/sun.  I see this when I'm washing the dishes too=0)

This is my third baby.  He really needs a hair cut!  I don't know why this cracks me up so much.

I finished J-Dog's knitted top!

The view, the rocks, and one BIG tear....but a good one...

I have a few more photos from my field trip and I didn't want you to miss them.

I just loved the bamboo...they were SO BIG and tall.  They looked just lovely and maybe it will be my next watercolor, hmmmm?

Enjoy the view, ahhhhhhh.  This pond was just the perfect spot for a picnic.

These soaps were just gorgeous and smelled divine.

This week I received these in the mail!!!  I'm dreaming up my summer pieces and these bad boys are center stage.  My Mama is already trying to take over the situation, LOL!

I've been working on a custom spectacle chain order....almost complete.

I finished my Jenny from the block rock, LOL!  I wanted a family/gypsy look.  I just love that I can call it my ball 'n chain, LOL!

I am happy to announce that my big momma has a new home, but it was hard to say goodbye.....She is on her way to SPAIN!  SANTA MARIA!!!!  I had a REALLY hard time handing her over to the post woman.  If you saw the movie SPANGLISH, then you'll understand it when I say I cried one tear......but it was a good one.

Chocolate+yarn=AY YAY YAY

The weather was gorgeous and the girls were available, it only took 6 months to plan this, LOL!  The day had finally arrived and it ended up being everything we hoped it would be.  The Chocolate festival was first up!  Yeah, 10am is not too early for chocolate=0)  It was at a beautiful garden location and we had to walk the grounds to get to the festival.  We saw so many beautiful plants and the ocean breezes didn't hurt either.  

This seniorita took our breath away.

I was wishing I could put this fountain in my pocket and take it with me.

These guys dancing freaks us out, LOL!

We took a short break=0)

Okay, maybe a 5 minute break, LOL!

We did have to sit and discuss how it would be a nice place to have a wedding.

Cha Cha from St. Bernadettes(that's from the movie Grease) looked like she was ready to dance the day away.

We made it to the chocolates and we didn't need to count calories.......we just walked.....

Next up!!!!!!!!  Yarn store numero uno.

What would I pick?  What would Angelina(not Jolie) pick?  What would Jennifer(not Aniston) pick?  That would be WAY too much drama!

My underground knitting posse was in full effect and we had a lot of stuff to pick.

Don't be fooled...

First of all, I'm working on a teeny pack to snap on to my belt buckle.  It still needs A LOT of work, but I thought I'd let you take a peek at it.  Also, if you need a professional bag, LOL!  Please check out my friend Mary J Maalouf.  She has some great bags and a special going on for bloggers=0)

Don't be fooled by the rocks that I got......  JLo sang it better, but it's exactly what I'm talking about right now.  You may remember the last piece I made the night before the extravaganza.  It was love at first sight!  I thought I'd wear it during the party, but I thought I'd put it out for a little bit.  Well, it SOLD quickly and I was making silly crying faces while I gift wrapped it.  Of course I was already thinking that I would search for another stone that evening.  IT WASN'T THAT EASY!!!!  I searched for 3 days, SANTA MARIA!!!

Check out these babies..............  They were worth the trouble, but now which one will I keep for myself?  And how long will I be able to wear it for?  You know as soon as someone says they'd love to have it I usually offer it.  It's like a reflex and I don't even realize what in the world happened, LOL!  I'll try my best to hold on to my rock=0)  And I'll probably sing......DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE ROCK THAT I GOT, every time someone notices it, LOL!

X-I work here, so I'll eat whenever I can.  What would you like me to bring you.

Me-Potatoes, chicken, and peas.  Wow, you are so fast!!!  Look, it's already in front of me!

First of all, THANK YOU guys for your VERY sweet comments.  It was so very nice to come home and see them=0)  I made the long trip to celebrate my Abuelita's 92nd birthday!!!  She was in good spirits, but doesn't remember us anymore=0(  It's okay......she looked happy and that made me smile.

Family vineyards were very calming and I really enjoyed spending a little time out in the backyard=0)
Feliz cumpleanos Abuelita!!!!!!!!  What a life it's been.  92 years, 7 children, and I can't even count how many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

My other job.................

Me-OH, I missed you so much and I'm glad I saw you before you fell asleep.

Three little birds...........

Three little birds.....sat on my window....and they told me I don't need to worry......

I've had a sad week.  My "abuelita"(grandma) is ill.  She will be passing soon and I saw her more as a child, but as an adult......I guess I got busy.  This Sunday will be her 92nd birthday!!!  She has had quite a life, but I guess as I get older it seems like it's harder to see family pass.  I'm hoping to make the 5.5 hr drive to celebrate her last birthday with her this weekend, but I'm still in shock that it will be her last.

So, I thought.....WHAT A GREAT PHOTO!!!!!  I really need to make a pendant for myself and my Primos(cousins).  And this is how I did it........

I scanned this lovely photo and got out my glass slides and glass cutter.
After that I cut the slides in half.  Now they measure 1.5"x1" and put them together with copper foil.
Time for my soldering iron, gel flux, and silvergleem solder.
VOILA!!!!  Here is Hermelinda in all her glory.  Isn't she gorgeous?  I left everything very rough, so it would look vintage.
I really like how the solder went all over the place.  Usually I'm such a perfectionist, so this was super fun.
I really love how they all turned out.  Hopefully my Primos will too, LOL!

A very long time ago...................

Abuelita-  What do you have on your teeth?

Me-OH, this is for my teeth.  My dentist told me to wear this.(I had aluminum foil on)LOL!

A-How long do you have to wear it for?

Me-Until my teeth are straight.

A-I can tell that they are getting better.

Me-It may take years!

My achy breaky back

Last night I finally just sat on the couch and did NADA!  Today I feel like a hunchback.  What in the world is that all about?  

Is my butterball finally killing me because she is 30+pounds?
Who could say no to picking her up?  Look at this cute little face looking up at me.  Ay yay yay!
WallE has been visiting all week and I have to pick him up when his wheels get too dirty.  Maybe I just need to start doing Pilates, LOL!

X-Do I get to go to Jamba Juice today?

Me-No.  You heard your teacher.  You must listen to her and today you did not.

X-WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ten minutes later(the crying has not stopped......at.........all)

X-Okay, okay, okay, just take me to get frozen yogurt then.

Me-(in my head)  He just doesn't get it, LOL!
