HOLA SWEET CHEEKS.

I have returned to the real world=0)

We were in northern California for a whole week visiting friends and family.

Okay...let me just tell you...we had a great time.

First thing I did was to visit my favorite bakery and get a BIG OL' burnt almond cake.

YUM. If you are EVER in San Jose...YOU MUST. They even sell it by the slice, if you want a nibble.

I got to catch up in person with some of my closest girlfriends and you know how good that is for the soul. LOVE all the laughs and sisterhood.

We also did A LOT of swimming and we went up to San Francisco for a day. It was totally freezing, but the aquarium and lunch was fantastic.

 I did get a chance to sketch a little on the plane and I thought I'd give you a little peek. 

I'm starting to think up my new designs for my compact mirrors. Is there anything special you'd like to see? Let me know=0)

Moment

Here we are again...IT'S MONDAY.

I hope you all got a moment all to yourself to relax for at least 2.5 seconds.

I got to work on my girl this weekend and I think I'm pretty much done with her, BUT I may make a few final changes. I really like her=0)

I received my new pendants for my summer pieces this weekend. I'm SUPER excited about how cute they are. I've been looking at all kinds of photos to start my sketches. I've also been looking at pretty stones to add=0) Is there anything you'd like to see?

X-I think I should of got the Rubik's 4x4 first.

Me-Listen...you can always get it. The 5x5 looks so crazy hard to me, BUT fun.

X-Yeah, but I think that I'm getting better. I just think I will learn the combinations if I solve the 4x4 first.

Me-True.

X-Why don't you go ahead and buy it for me.

Me-I'll put it on your birthday list.

X-I'm not waiting that long.

What's in a sketch

I've been sketching away on something new.

A new sketch that has taken MANY hours=0) 

I'm really trying to make sure that everything looks good. 

LOL.

Usually, I spend more time painting. I started wondering what would happen if I spent more time on the sketch itself. Will it look different? Hmmmm....

X-You have to talk to my teacher about the merit badges.

Me-Merit badges?

X-YES. That I'm SO close to getting my NO KIDS MEAL badge.

Me-..........

X-I only have FIVE more adult meals at a restaurant.

Me-Hmmm...then what happens?

X-I get my badge.

Me-.........

X-We are going on a field trip and they are ordering EVERYONE kid's meals. I can't get one. I CAN'T.

Me-When is the field trip? 

X-In two weeks.

Me-If you get this....merit badge before then...THEN can you get a kid's meal?

X-NO...I hate kid's meals.

Me-None of this makes sense to me.

X-You have to email my teacher and ask her to order me an adult meal.

Me-Lets talk to dad about all this.

X-UGGHHHH.... I already told you that YOU'RE THE BOSS. Dad knows this already.

Colors...colors everywhere

I finished my Thank you watercolor.

I started this watercolor thinking about flowers and rhinestones, but now I just see COLORS.

Anyone that has known me for years knows that I love purple. When I was growing up I'd always find a way to incorporate purple in my outfit=0) 

I must of looked crazy because my school uniform was navy and red=0/

OH...no worries...I didn't mind at all that purple never matched. 

Hahahaha!

I won't even tell you about my purple metallic socks. 

OH...I loved the 70's.

SO...now that I'm older I'm really enjoying other colors too. 

I think that this new card shows that.

Hahahaaha.

I'm excited to see how it looks when I get the finished product from the printers.

Magical garden

HAPPY MONDAY.

I'm hoping you had a nice weekend.

 It was so beautiful here and it was REALLY time to clean up the garden. It always amazes me how quickly weeds can take over. Our little gnome was in desperate need of a bubble bath=0)

After spending so much time outside I was inspired. 

I would love a magical garden that was always filled with blooms.

A quick getaway for a cup of tea and a scone. Mmmmmmmm.

Smell the flowers

I'm excited to show you my new Spring earrings. This is an oldie but goodie. I changed the pendant style, so you could see the painting better. I hope these add a POP of color to your outfit=0)

In the garden

Today I just finished cutting my art work and am just about to seal them. These are going to be for my new spring pieces. The sand dollars were a custom order, so they will be going to Florida soon. I'm super excited to post the finished pieces soon. 

Which one do you like best? I think I'm leaning toward the purple ones=0)

Pretty flowers

HOLA.

Yesterday, we were out exploring and we bumped into an art supply store...and gelato too.

I had to go inside and check out some thing, since they were having a huge sale;oP

So, I found some fun stuff. Some new paper, markers and paint.

Last night I made a little sketch and had a little fun adding a little ink.

There were SO many pretty flowers downtown yesterday, so it just added to my Spring fever.

X-Hmmmm.........I just don't remember.

Me-(After looking for 10 minutes) I can't find it anywhere. Can you remember when you last saw it?

X-Nope. Oh well, I'm gonna get an F now.

Me-It has to be somewhere. I found so many things....even a note to the tooth fairy.

X-What did it say?

Me-We need to find that report.

X-I'll just get an F.

Enjoying the blossoms

It's almost Spring time around here. I went knitting with my ladies yesterday and the weather was just gorgeous. We sat outside and sipped on some yummy coffee. This winter has been chilly, but there is no snow anywhere near here...ok, maybe about an hour from here=0) So, I was watering my plants and picking oranges and just checking out all the little blossoms. They are so cute. I have a few trees I planted last year and honestly...I thought I killed them. Kinda like my poor hydrangeas that just never seem to make it! I'll try again this Spring. The tenth times a charm!!! So, I was sketching last night before bed. Already dreaming of beautiful Spring time.

I'm dreaming up some new Spring lockets and earrings.

X-Don't freak out but a dog peed on my new sleeping bag.

Me-What? Really? There was a dog at ninja night?

X-Listen...someone showed up and their dogs went on a total rampage and then they told me that there was pee on my sleeping bag.

Me-Ok. Really? There was a dog in the dojo?

X-Yeah.

Me-Okay, I'll wash it.

X-I'm so glad you didn't freak out. Now.........I didn't go to sleep until 4am.

Drying pendants

My new pendants and lockets are drying! Love is in the air=0)

I'm super excited about Valentine's Day. 

We have love birds, lips, flowers, dreams, love and a sail boat. OH...I almost forgot about the cute little owl. He's peeking=0) I will be putting these together this week, so they should be in my shop very soon.
